Diversity encompasses many elements, among which are race and
ethnicity, gender, language, disability, sexual orientation,
age, religious affiliation, and economic means. Changing demographics,
and the desire by many individuals to be recognized in their
own terms, are factors which have contributed to the increased
attention to diversity.
Today, organizations of all kinds cannot afford to ignore
the impact of diversity. Most often these differences, real
or perceived, create 1) barriers for people within an organization
to communicate or work together effectively, or 2) difficulties
when interacting with current and potential clients, customers
or constituents.
The Institute for Cultural Partnerships will work with you
