We raise parrotlets here at our small home aviary near Grand Rapids Michigan. Our birds have gone home to families in Michigan, Iowa, Ilinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and even Tennessee.
Everyone in our family gets in on the act and helps with the care and feeding of these tremendous little companions. We think it is really important for the baby birds to be socialized to the sounds of a typical household such as the vacuum, kids, dogs, TV and dishwasher. We think this helps them acclimate to their new homes quickly and easily. This, in turn, helps them become great family pets.
