Price Information
After our babies hatch, we wait until they are about 12 days old before we take them from their parents. This gives the parents time to give them a healthy start. After that, we handfeed them and socialize them until they wean. This is usually at about age 6 weeks but each bird determines by how he/she weans. Some babies take longer to wean but we don't mind. It's worth the wait.

During this time we take deposits on them and begin to call them by the new names their upcoming families want to call them. As we socialize them, they learn to fly, get carried around a lot and exposed to new foods.

All our parrotlets are weaned to the type of food the new family wants to feed them when they arrive home so they won't have to experience a big change when they are getting acclimated. Moving to a new home is hard enough and stressful to a bird so we want to make that transition as easy as possible. It's just our way of helping you get a healthy, happy bird.

On the day you come to pick up your newly weaned parrotlet, we take time to do some teaching with you. We will teach you about basic care, wing clipping, feeding, toys, etc. This is a great time to bring the whole family along so everyone can learn what to do and how to make your parrotlet a great family pet. Each family gets a small travel carrier ( so baby bird can easily be transported home, to the vet, grandma's house, etc.) seed, and a homemade parrotlet toy our family creates from peacock feathers.
