Hi Jane,
Tido is so sweet my whole family, even my husband, can hardly
believe it! She did not want to stay in her carry case on the way home. Tido sat
on top of Casey's head and stretched her neck up and sang so pretty for Casey
and I!!! She seemed to be putting her stamp of approval on us. This went
on for at least 5 minutes. The moist bread went over great. She made a
great fun mess all over Casey's jacket with the bread!!! Casey says this is
the best thing that has ever happened to him. Your whole family needs to pat
yourselves on the back for such great work with Tido. My husband says this
is the only kind of bird he will ever want! What more can I say? Upon arriving home we took some of the toys from the cage, put food and water in the dishes, sat Tido in the cage and she ate and drank like a little sweat piglet. Then she took a nice nap, played some more with Casey, was introduced to Steffie, then more eating and another nap. Tido makes us want another parrotlet! Just too much fun. Casey just brought Tido down stairs and she is sitting on the key pad helping me with this letter.
THANK YOU FOLKS SO MUCH!!
WHAT A GREAT DAY.
Yes, Jane we are still interested in a lady friend for Rocky. That's great that you have more that have hatched. I love getting updates from you about your birds. We just love Rocky, he really didn't take long to become one of US! He actually teases the cats and the dog! This is so funny! He (rocky) will fly around in his cage....to get the cats to come by him and then he will fly right down next to them as to say "Ha Ha can't get me!" During the day he is in our living room in a cabinet that my husband made (I will get a picture sent to you, this cage is sooooo cool!) then at night he is in a smaller cage that is in our bathroom up stairs (it is warmer up there for him...specially this time of the year) It's nice having him up there because we are up there for the first couple of hours and this way he gets to spend more time around us. One time I was taking a shower and I had Rocky out of his cage (he was sitting on top of his cage) and he could hear me in the shower (he just loves the sound of the water running) he was just chirping a lot as if to say....."hey what about me I want a shower too!" I would poke my head out around the shower curtain and he would fly right to my hair! He loved it...he didn't want to get to close to the water but he loved being it that climate! He really has warmed all of our hearts, I can't thank you enough for raising such a wonderful bird and I can't wait for Rocky to have his lady friend too. Your friend......Trish
