Windows Explorer is an excellent tool for examining the contents of folders. However, it doesn’t give the user an easy way to print the contents of a folder. FolderPrinter adds a line to the context menu seen when you right click a folder in Windows Explorer. This item, when selected, causes a text file to be created that contains a date time stamp, the name of the target folder and a list of the contained files. This file can be printed out or simply saved. This is a lot simpler than opening a dos Window and using the “dir” command. Note that Microsoft Outlook has an option to print the contents of selected folders; if you have Microsoft Office installed you might not need FolderPrinter to do the job.
